As the song goes “ My future isn’t a dream .” I love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time . I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .When I was young my father always asked me what I would be in the future . Sometimes I found it very hard to give a certain reply . “ I want to be a doctor .” “ I want to be a teacher .” and “ I ’d like to be a scientist !” Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . But I never think they are far away .

How time flies! Who is able to give a definition to his future ? I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . As a student , I should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . My goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school . I know it’s hard work , and I ’ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I’ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

Today I would like to begin with a story.

There was once a physical therapist(临床医学家) who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a census(调查) about mountain gorillas(大猩猩). These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching(偷猎) and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled(拥抱) their babies.

Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Dian Fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in Rwanda to protect the eco-environment there until the very end of her life.

To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless(永恒的) reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.

Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. The other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some- thing else, someplace else. a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.

And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.

Once again, I have come to think of Mrs. Dian Fossey be- cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our eco-environment that we are taking our next step into the world.

And no matter who we are what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it. Thank you very much.

从交谈中我觉得她不是一个很健谈的人。但她确与我们相处的很好。她常常会讲解一些我们不懂的问题和告诉我们一些为人处事的方法。很快一个月过去了，她就要离开，同学们彼此不舍。所以她借了一部相机要和我们合影留念。当时我没去。不是因为我不喜欢她而不想和她合影，只因当时我本来就不是很喜欢拍照，加之我不喜欢别离。

我知道时间长了我们会将她渐渐遗忘。诚如现在，我确实将她忘记的差不多了。不记得她的相貌，也忘记了她姓什么叫什么了。所以在她即将离开时，我让她给我留一句她最喜欢的话。

她毫不犹豫地就写下了“用双手诠释生活，用微笑面对明天”。后来它也变成我所喜欢的。因为我发现在后来的生活中，它不断的给我激情和信心。如遇到挫折犹豫时，我想起它;情绪低落徘徊时想起它;遭遇失败想放弃时想起它。它时常会跳入我的脑海给我动力。

生活总会充满不如意。就像曾经高考不是很理想我曾一度想放弃一样，但最终我走过来了。我发现我们如果一直抱怨生活，就会失去满手在握的美好明天和感受生活循序渐进的过程。

就如我会失去大学那一段美好的回忆一样。后来我想，还是微笑吧。微笑着去驱散阴云与迷雾;微笑着去扫却悲观和犹豫。只要面上一直挂着真诚的微笑，舞动双手，坚定向前，美好的明天就会展现在眼前。

或许你会问明天是多远，我想只要心存希望并付诸行动，生活总不至于让你失望。因为生活是双手一点一滴的积累，是人们一步一个的脚步。没有农民双手的耕耘，哪有生活的保障?没有工人双手的劳作，哪能达到物质的需求?没有警察双手的挥动，哪有社会的和谐等等。

更有一个令人难以置信的法律专业的大学生，为了替父还债，竟然绑架了邻居小孩，勒索20万元现金。被逮捕后，却以没想过伤害人质为由，请求广大处置。真令人痛心，这种痛是为她如此单薄的法律意识的痛;为她就这样轻易葬送自己美妙前途的痛;更为她作为大学生，却摈弃了大学生良知的痛。

People in Inner Mongolia are famous for their bravery, enthusiasm and hospitality. No mater where you are from, as long as you come to a herdsman’s house, you will be warmly entertained with roasted whole lamb and milk tea, and what’s more, you can also appreciate beautiful Mongolian songs and elegant dances. I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing.

It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.

Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. 一比赛流程及规则

1主旨演讲时间为3分钟，2分45秒-3分15秒，不扣分，超过时间扣0.1-0.5分。时间到了，计时员将举起他/她的卡。 如果时间过长，将被打断。

2、 主持人开场。

三。比赛开始：第一位选手开始演讲，第二位选手准备好了。以此类推。

4在所有参赛者的主旨演讲结束后，他们将进行即席演讲。

四、活动简述

本次活动面向全体中学生，比赛分为初赛、复赛和决赛三个部分。活动不仅能为同学们提供一个展示自己能力与才华的舞台、丰富课余生活，而且可以提高同学们学习英语的热情与激情。

五、活动流程

1预赛和决赛（时间：10月8日-10月11日）

说明：初赛、复赛各班自行举办，每班选出8名英语口语、表达及综合能力较强者进入复赛，在复赛中选出最优秀的4名选手参加决赛。提倡办出特色，办出水平，推举优秀选手，以保证比赛质量。

2决赛：（时间：10月17日，星期四，下午2:00-4:50）

注：演讲主题不限主题，选手可在主题范围内自行设置字幕。演讲内容可以涉及学习、工作、生活、人生观、价值取向、人际关系等。

文体的形式是没有限制的，可议描写、议论、抒情，但要真实，反映个性。语言风格要求生动、有感染力。每人限时三分钟。

（1） 参赛者的发言顺序将在比赛前一天抽签决定。参赛选手的出场顺序将通过抽签确定，参赛选手依次从小号到大号参加比赛。

（2）、比赛程序：

a。比赛开始：主持人入场，介绍领队，宣布比赛制度。b。选手依次登台演讲。

（3）、比赛规则：

a。 成绩计算：评委根据选手综合表现现场打分（评分保留两位小数），评委成绩中去掉一个最高分和一个最低分后的平均分为参赛选手的最终成绩。

b。选手的最终成绩由高分到低分进行排序，确定获奖顺序。

7-9年级分为a组和b组：a组：一等奖1名，二等奖1名

b组：一等奖1名二等奖2名

七、工作安排和人员分配

总调度：（姚乾文）

1宣传组组长：（姚乾文）负责评分标准、评分标、总分表的制作和打印。

2后勤组组长：（李平：杨婕张春花）负责比赛现场的布置，观众席安排及入场引导，采购和保管纪念品、奖品、黑色粗笔和中性笔。与其他团体合作，确保比赛顺利进行。

八、注意事项

1应提前通知所有参与者。如选手在比赛中三次未到场，则示未自动放弃比赛。

2预赛各班选手的选拔要认真对待。

3、抽签做到公平公正。

4、各负责人及评委保证比赛时的秩序，在每场比赛前做好充分的准备工作，以利于选手在比赛时发挥自己的最佳水平。

5演讲者将在指定区域坐下，而其他学生将以班级为单位。

6评分应严格按照评分标准进行，负责人应将评分的原始材料上缴。

7、选手进行3分钟自选题目的演讲，演讲尽量为脱稿演讲。

8、各班级选择男女主持各一名；入围者名单和演讲稿应提前一周提交。

分数对我们的学生很重要。老师要用分数来衡量我们—上初中，要分数;上高中，要分数;上大学要分数，考研究生、博士要分数，出国、评职称还是要分数。父母需要用分数来问我们；社会用分数来衡量我们。

而我们自己也常常用分数在相互直接做着攀比。我们完全为分数所左右了，我们为它欢喜，我们为它丧气。那么，我们该怎么处理分数呢？

的确，分数具有不可低估的作用。从检验学习的角度上来说，它具有一定的公平性和真实性，“分数面前人人平等”，讲的就是这个道理。然而，分数并不是衡量学生成败的惟一标准。

考试成绩偶尔低了一两分乃至十来分，并不一定说明什么问题。有时，考试的成败会受到现场经验、健康状况等方面的影响。“胜败乃是兵家常事”这句话大概不会有人不知道，而我们在学习上又何尝不如此?

在考试上很少有“常胜之师”，即使平时成绩再好的同学，也难免会有偶尔的失误。历届中考、高考“状元”并非就是平时出类拔萃的优等生的事实，便是明证。

事实上，“高分”与“能力”往往是不统一的。前段时间，社会上出现了一个新词:“高分低能”。

笔者就曾经碰见这样一位教师，据说他毕业于某赫赫有名的重点大学，但从教学效果上讲，却远远逊色于一些非高等学府毕业的老师。其教学之是照本宣科，枯燥乏味，缺乏教与学的协调功能。根本不能引起听课同学的兴趣，目前不少大中专院校的高材生毕业后不能胜任他们的工作，原因就在于缺少将书本中的知识运用到实际工作中去的能力。

这种人，虽然每次在学校都能考高分，但在工作岗位上可能无法自由运用自己学到的知识。国家培养出这样的“人材”，不也是一种浪费吗?

可见，分数并不像一些人想象得那么绝对和权威，忽视了各方面人才的培养，仅仅追求高分是远远不够的。因此，我们应该客观对待分数，既不能过分轻视分数，也不能把分数看得太神圣。（孙丽荣老师供稿）

八．【比赛环节】

整个活动分为两场比赛，第一场是预赛，第二场是决赛。

1、初赛面向我院广大的英语爱好者进行海选，演讲内容自定，根据报名的情况进行分组评选，最后筛选出若干名优胜者进入决赛。

2、决赛分为三个环节:

第一个环节：命题发言3分钟（可加减15秒），索取稿件。

第二部分：即兴演讲2分钟（正负15秒）。赛题保密，提前让选手抽题。

第三个环节：每名选手完成以上两个环节后，由评审代表对选手的表现进行简单点评，给选手一个亮丽的分数。

1主持人开场（介绍比赛主题、选手、评委、嘉宾、过程评分系统）；

2.比赛开始，各选手按顺序发表命题演讲(3分钟，可正负15秒)；
